You can send customized email notifications to inform users when certain events occur.

• Select the notification method and condition
• Set the schedule
• Create the message

Select the notification method and condition

1. Select Settings > Notifications and Templates.
2. The system comes with several predefined templates that you can edit to customize them for your needs. To use a template to create the notification (recommended), select the edit icon next to the template you wish to use.
   
3. (Optional) To send a test email for up to ten email addresses, select the Test Email icon next to the template you wish to use.
   
4. To create a new notification without using a template:
   1. Select Add Notification.
   2. Enter the notification Notification Name.
   3. Under Send Via, check the Email box.
   4. Select the Type of notification. The options you see may vary depending upon your subscription. If you have any questions, contact your administrator.
   5. Select the Status Triggering the Notification. This is the activity that will trigger the notification to be sent, such as a package being shipped or delivered.
5. Select Continue.

Set the schedule

1. From the Schedule menu, select when the notification will be sent.
2. If you wish to send reminder emails, select Send Reminder, then choose when you want to send them.
   Note: Reminders are not available for the Delivered condition.
3. (PitneyTrack Enterprise only) If you see the Notification Visibility section, you can limit notifications to a specific division, location, or site. Select Division, Location, or Site, then select the desired one from the menu that appears.

Create the message

1. In the Email Subject field, enter or edit the email subject line.
2. (Optional) In the Reminder Prefix field, enter the text that you would like added to the beginning of the email subject line for reminder messages. For example, "REMINDER: ". This field is only visible when Send Reminder is selected.
3. Enter or edit the body of the message in the large message field. To insert dynamic text such as the recipient's name, select </> Insert Variable Data Field, then select the desired item.
4. To edit the HTML code of the message, select </> Edit HTML.
5. To see an example of how the message will look, select Show Preview. Scroll down to see the preview. Select Refresh Preview to refresh the preview after making changes above. Select Hide Preview to close the preview.
6. Select Save Notification.
7. To change the From name to something other than "Pitney Bowes", select the Preferences tab and enter the name you wish to use in the "Sent From" Label field. The notification emails will still come from no-reply@pb.com; only the name will be different.
8. To change the Reply to email address to something other than no-reply@pb.com, enter the desired address in the "Reply to" email address field. The notification emails will still come from no-reply@pb.com, but if someone replies to an email notification, the reply will go to this address.
